Bend Toward Justice was founded in 2009 by Steve Conrad. Steve has spent significant time in sub-Saharan Africa (particularly the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda). He found that one of the most significant unmet needs in that part of the world was for dignified jobs that allowed people to escape from poverty. The mission of BTJ is to create opportunities for those who have been forgotten in our world and to educate western consumers about how we can use our resources and make ethical purchases that empower the least.
